The God in me

One day I was sick when I heard a voice asked,

“Do you believe in The God in you?”

I responded on the spot, “I do believe, hundred percent.”

I do and I knew my healing rested on that.

True enough, I recovered almost instantly.

I also know what the phrase, The God in me refers to.

It is not just God in me as I used to understand it.

That to find God, we should look inside of us because God is in us.

No, the phrase, The God in me, held a specific message.

It is believing my essence is God, since I come from God.

It is believing the fact God did not create us outside of himself,

the way I was led to believe.

He did not create us like a sculptor, creating it outside of himself.

He created us, the universe and universes in expansion of his being.

His Infinite Being expanded into this entire creation of earth, planets, universe.

We came into being from him.

Hence the words of scripture, “I say, ye are gods.”

This knowledge,  I learned from the book, The Law of One.

And Indian mystics drove home further that truth.

To understand how it is, I was shown one imagery, the ocean.

The ocean is God or Source, we are akin to a drop of water in the ocean.

Merged in that ocean, God, what are we but part of God.

Taken from it, what is our essence but that of God.

Coming from a Catholic background,

It is a concept I have great difficulty voicing.

For is it not blasphemy to believe we are gods,

though it is being part of God or fragments of God.

That reality resonates with me.

I find myself believing in it, and living it.

The God in me.
