One day, I was walking along the path to our house,
When it came to me, wisdom is nothing but commonsense.
It came about when I found myself studying my husband.
He was well educated, well read but when it came to practical sense.
He did not have very much of it.
Any chores, I could trust him to find the hardest way to do it,
while I would find the easiest way to achieve it.
That was when it came to me, a simple truth,
wisdom is nothing but common sense.
Looking at it today, I realize it is not common sense but spirit sense.
Saint John of the Cross wrote, the spiritual man pierces the secret of things.
Something of that nature.
He is so right.
Possessed of spirit sense, that gift of spiritual wisdom,
Everything is very self evident.
