When I suffered stroke of the left eye and spirit held me up,
where even if I wanted to, I was not able to worry about it.
I had observed that state of being with a feeling of fascination,
though that state of being was not new to me.
When a fellow reader malign me, with ugly blatant lies,
spirit borne me aloft, to where I was not able to feel.
I did suffer from fears, hurt, pain, but most of the time I was held aloft.
When Dr. C told me, “It is either valley fever or cancer.”
My mind saw cancer, Valley fever was an unknown.
I did not think I could have valley fever.
I know many around me to have cancer, but not valley fever.
I came back, and was completely quiet inside.
My dog, Mari, sensed it and shadowed me nervously.
So nervously, I decided to calm her down by going into meditation.
She loves to stay in meditation with me.
She could stay hours in meditation if and when I do.
All the while my mind grapple with the implications.
Mid afternoon, again, I heard Jesus tell me, go to pray.
I did, I went for meditation again.
And then happiness, bliss struck.
It is happiness, bliss with no eyes.
That is what my mother would say.
No eyes, because a doctor had told me I might have cancer.
And instead of being struck with fear and anxiety,
this happiness, bliss struck me.
I started laughing and laughing.
What does it mean? What does it imply?
That it is not cancer, that I have no cancer.
It does not matter.
If heaven wants to give me this bliss,
this happiness without eyes,
I will take it any time.
Such bliss are states of spiritual journey.
Darkness will follow soon enough.
So I will fully enjoy this bliss while I have it.
Thank you, God, Thank you, infinite Creator.
Thank you, Universe, for this gift of joy, bliss.
Sheer bliss without a shadow on the horizon.
That is the reward of spiritual life.
It is always full, never boring, in times of darkness or light.
